I have a 2000 Ford Focus and I want to install an alarm system but it doesnt have power door locks I was looking into buying the power door locks but on a website I was reading that the focus uses a cable to pull on the lock instead of a rod. Is this true? If so what did you do can you still put an acutuator?

Thanks, Jan

WHOA!..aftermarket door locks on a Focus.. Good luck. If you do it daily you'll be fine...but if you've never done it on this vehicle you will more than likely have hell. You have to bend the rod three ways to get it to work. It is def. possible to do.
