I am Working on a 96 ford explorer for a remote start and according to the DEI tech sheet the tach wire is tan / YELLOW at the PCM however in testing that wire it doesnt change voltage with the increase in RPM so i dont believe it and there are no other of that color code in that bundle... any ideas other than the back of the instrument cluster?? Thanks!

Use the injector wire instead of the tach wire at the PCM. It will be uncommon color wire among the pairs on the top of the injectors.
