I have an EXtreme starter in my '02 Cavalier 5spd.Everything works fine-sometimes!The problem is that every once in a while when you push the button to ready it or lock/unlock Nothing happens. The transmitter lights up but there is no one home in the car...As I'm sure you can imagine this is slightly inconveniant and almost negates the purpose of the remote starter. This will happen sometimes from 500' or right INSIDE the car (when getting into ready mode). What should I be checking?I am guessing it is an antenna issue or some type of RF interference. This is a very recent install and the starter is new,ALL connections are soldered so I don't imagine that it is a problem with the starter but YOU people are the pro's.Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanx

Is the antenna high or low in the winshield. I know certain types of winshields have some type of metal component in them. If the antenna is low bring it up to the top by the rear view mirror. If it is already high bring it down to the defroster. I know this helps in some vehicles.

The antenna is mounted up high right beside the rv mirror. But I have tried to hold the transmitter 'almost' touching the antenna and it didn't help..then outa' the blue it will work.
