for what ever reason...my bypass on this vehicle will stay activated....the remote start will work and then when the vehicle sits for a period of time, it won't remote start.  it will try, but then shut down.  start the vehicle with the key, shut it off remote start it...then it works and you can't get it to fail.  i haven't been able to find anyone who can help me with this problem...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

What did you use for a bypass?
Is it wired correctly?
What did you use for a ground when running on the Viper?

shutdown notification? i am not running off of tach, i have it on voltage sense.  direct fax doesn't call for a bypass.  you use two relays because the starter, 2nd iginition, keysense, and passlock resistance goes through the same wires.  so, you put 2 relays in line with resistors (which have already been changed out because i thought maybe my tolerance was off) and a 1 amp diode.  the two relays act as the bypass.  i was trying to figure out if you could put in a 556lw, but the wires don't match up and when adding the relays, you cut one of the keysense wires in half anyway.  when the customer came in...i looked at all my connections, of course.  put the key in the ignition and turned the truck over...it starts just fine....with the key in and the car running...i remote start the truck and then take the key out...the truck stays running.  that tells me that the bypass is bad....so...i shut down the truck..and try to remote start it and it works and after that, i can't get it to fail.  it's not the crank time because i already bumped that up a little bit..but without getting it to fail again right there, there is nothing to trouble shoot.  aaarrrrggghhhh!! i have talked to a bunch of other installers and they are all scratching their heads too...any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

thank you for your response....if you go to directechs and look up direcfax 1603, you will see the bypass diagram
