Has anyone installed a relay to activate their heated seats when the car is remotely started? I thought of it the other day and it seemed easy enough to do. Brian

i did in my durango it is a nice add-on it was simple in mine , just like doing doorlocks in any chrysler ground thru a resistor for high or low i went with high resistor to warm up faster then i can put on low when in the truck

Did you do trial and error for the right resistance or was it in the Haynes manual for the truck for the proper resistors ?

I am thinking about doing them in brothers 1999 Ford Explorer. Where would be the best place to find the wire at.(I quess you could right at the harness under the seat?)Also should you have to use a resistior with the Explorer setup. If so I have the Hayes manual. Thanks for the help. Brian

Why botther with doing that? Just make sure you hook up all ACC and ING wires and just leave it one when you get out of the car. When you remote start it will be active and the seat will warm up.

Well if your like me...I'm lucky if I remember to turn my heat controls up before I get out of the vehicle, let alone turning stuff like that on. Once I'm warm I don't think about cranking the heat before I get out....LOL

SECURINU, I have a 99 Durango and decided to get an Autopage rs750lcd. I wanted the Viper 790xv but cost and availability turned me to the autopage. To get to the point... I want to get some preliminary ideas as to what I am going to do before the day comes so that way I don’t start installing it and then have to stop think if I made the best decision. Since I noticed you had a Durango and a Marksman I hope you don’t mind me asking you some direct questions. I was going to put the brain behind the driver’s kick panel, the temperature sensor in the center console, the valet switch either in the center console or somewhere hidden under the passenger side dash. Sensors, I’m still deciding. In what locations did you mount the brain and sensors? Thanks.
