Help, I installed a remote start on a '93 Olds eighty-eight with VATS. I had a problem with my VATS & I tried to start the car. It wouldn't crank over, so I tried it again, over & over. Now I assume it's in "tamper" mode because when I turn the key ahead the "security" light flashes. My question is how do I reset this. Key ahead, key off (if off out of ignition or in?). Hope you guys can help me out thanks in advance.

Glenn

if you cut one of the vats wires, put it back together and try with the key again.

Put the key in the igniton and turn it to the on position.. let it set for twenty minutes or so.. I have had to do that with the Vats system.. I also use the PLXR bypass from Trilogixs.. never had a problem with it....

Thanks guys for everything. I got to the bottom of my problem. I was bypassing the vats with a 5 pin relay & using resistors. My problem was the relay was no good. Sometimes a person doesn't know even with new stuff I guess.

Thanks  Glenn
