Grab an injector wire for tach. The locks probably reverse polarity. They suck a little.

When he said grab and injector he meant,  if you look at the fuel injectors on the engine you will see a 2 wire harness plugged into each one.  What you want to do is look at the wire colors in each of those plugs.  One color will be the same at each of the plugs.  To get the tach wire splice into one of the other wires.  For instance for the sake of arguement say the injector harnesses have the following colors.

#1  Pink/green and Red      #2 Orange and Red   #3  Blue/white and red  #4  Gray/white and red

In this case you would hook into either the pink/green, orange, blue/white, or gray/white wires since they aren't common to any of the injectors.  It doesn't matter which one you tie into just go for the easiest one to get to.  Hope this helps.   As far as the reversing polarity door locks if you search the relays section there's a diagram that tells you how to hook it up.

You can get to the wires at the Driver Door Boot between the Door & Kick Panel
Not to hard to do.  Just METER the wires Before you cut them and after.
If your unit is not able to do 5 wire Reversal rest @ Ground then you will need the following:

2 SPDT RELAYS:

Cut LOCK  & UNLOCK Wire in Half.
One Half goes to SWITCH
One Half goes to ACTUATOR

Relay 1

LOCK:
PIN 87 =  12 Volts ( + ) Constant
PIN 87a =  wire from Door Lock Switch
PIN 30 =  wire to Lock side of Actuator
PIN 85 = Negative Lock Output from Alarm
PIN 86 = Constant 12 volt ( + )

Relay 2

UNLOCK:
PIN 87 =  12 Volts ( + ) Constant
PIN 87a =  wire from Door UnLock Switch
PIN 30 =  wire to UnLock side of Actuator
PIN 85 = Negative UnLock Output from Alarm
PIN 86 = Constant 12 volt ( + )

Power LockL BLUEDRIVER KICK
Power UnlockWHITEPANEL **
** Without OEM Keyless Entry ...........Reversal Rest At Ground Door Locks . With OEM Keyless Entry ........Positive Pulse Door Lock Ground Door Locks

It's not " whatever ".....You need to be sure before proceeding.....

Only you would know??

Without OEM Keyless Entry .........Reversal Rest At Ground Door Locks
With OEM Keyless Entry... Positive Pulse Door Locks.

Find the OEM relays on these trucks and just hook them up to (+)through a set of relays. The OEM relays are located high above the gas pedal between the steering column and the center vents behind what looks to be the BCM module ( not sure on this module ). You will need to pull on the relays ( they are both connected to each other) and find the BLUE wire and the WHITE wire.

The tach wire you will find in the large loom of wires going into the passengerside firewall. You will find 3 WHITE wires in this loom, test each one until you find the proper tach signal wire. I did 5 of these trucks in the past week so it's still pretty fresh in my head.

deville, please read my post. You do not have to go into the door for the locks. The relay bank is located above the gas pedal between the steering column and the vents up high.

To see if the vehicle is a type C or (+) cut one of the wires and if you toggle the switch & the lock and unlock doesn't work, then you have type C. If the wire that you cut stops the operation of just that wire, then you have (+).

so type C is the reverse polar, where i would have to hook up more relays... and if not than i don't need the extra relays and i can just hook it up wire to wire... kool... than how come in the car wiring thingy, it just shows one colour for lock and one for unlock
