You'll have to hook the bypass up before the truck will remote start. Just putting the key in the ignition will not do it the code is generated when the key is turned to the crank position. The airbag light should assuming nothing got cut or disconnected shut off about 7 seconds after the vehicle starts running. Good luck

mo12v, at the time when I posted this I had taken the bypass out to see if it was the issue, I did have it in prior and I tried remote starting but when no luck, then I took it out Didn't know it had 3 ignition wires, every possible website I checked (4 of them) said it had 2 ignition wires and 2 accessory wires, I even triple tested I am guessing that is why the airbag light is on, cause I didn't hook up ignition 3 just out of curiousity where did you get the info you posted earlier

just want to make this clear, the vehicle has 3? ignition wires, and 1 accessory wire? so the third ignition wire in the vehicle is Orange, and has to be powered as third ignition? I didn't mention that when I go to remote start the vehicle it trys to start and it does, but right away it shuts itelf down this is how I had it pink (1st ignition) to pink in the vehicle, pink/white (2nd ignition) to white in the vehicle, orange (1st accessory) to orange in the vehicle, and I did have ORANGE / white (2nd accessory) to brown in the vehicle, when I had it like this it wouldn't do anything I cut the ORANGE / white wire from the brown and it was able to start but then immediately die, that is as far as I got

I have always had luck with the orange as an acc, where do you have the passlock module grounded to? passlock ground in the column has not always worked for me in newer gm's and chev's so i ground them right to the kick. good luck

Well I will try something along those lines when I get the customers car back I always thought the black off of the module goes to the passlock ground from the ignition didn't know you could just ground it anywhere Do you have any info on the ignition wires and why maybe the airbag light is on

I always thought it was ground for passlock aswell but i ran inot i think it was an 03 chev halfton and good old Gus set me straight with that one. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. For the airbag light I couldn't tell you i have never seen it pop before, did you knicked the airbag shround surrounding the airbag wires and maybe cut one? Good luck when it comes back, let us know.

I didn't accidently cut or knick anything, cause where I was working I always saw where the air bag wire was, I wasn't really even working around that area, cause I got the ignition wires further down the coloumn near the BCM

hook orange up as acc. If you notice when you start the truck the climate controls and stereo and that stuff will turnoff for a split second during crank. The orange wire runs the climate controls, so presumebly you would waqnt to hook acc up to that. Like cloneman said you do not need brown wire in this truck because it runs the radio.

alright so I do have all wires powered up correctly, does it matter if you get ignition 1 and 2 backwards for example: ignition 1 wire from the brain hooked to ignition 2 in vehicle and vice versa cause right now I have ignition 1 wired to the pink in the truck, and ignition 2 wired to white in the truck, and I have accessory off of the brain wired to orange in the vehicle I am leaning towards a bypass issue, I am using the 555L and when I remote start the truck it fires up and then instantly dies
