I just tried to install a R/S in a 2005 Toyota Sienna with anti-theft. It works great with the key in the ignition, but will not start using the ring around the ignition cylinder. I tried several differents rings and bypass units but none work. I also tried every location around the cylinder. Any suggestions?

when you take the shroud off you have to put the ring from the bypass in front of the factory immobilizer, so basically right at the edge of the cylinder

make sure you have the blue wire from the bypass module hooked up to the  (ground out when running) wire or (-)status wire

Otherwise if you are using KEY in ByPASS.............Make sure the Ring is tight around Ignition Cylinder.  I like to have it half over Factory Ring & half forward.  Run the wire ( if you can ) away from other wires & make sure the ByPass comes on DURING & AFTER Cranking
Also position the Key in the box as center as possible
