I have a vehicle coming back today with a doorlock problem. I installed a Viper 140xv ( aka 130 ). The customer claims that the doorlocks unlock randomly at stop lights and that now the drivers door will not unlock with the remote, but all other doors do unlock. The vehicle is a 2001 PT cruiser.

Any thoughts?

If it has Factory Alarm / Doorlocks...
Ask customer if he is using Viper to Lock / Unlock Doors Only! or is he Locking Unlocking door manually??

Vehicle came in today.......locks were functioning with ignition lock and unlock. Turned ignition unlock off for the customer. Ignition unlock kicked in when the vehicle slowed to a stop.

Customer also said a few times the vehicle would not unlock. I could not get this to replicate but was curious if these vehicles have a snoozing BCM? I've never found mention of it, nor had it occur to me in the shop but am curious if this might be the problem?

Yep.......relay for each. Like I said I could never get the doorlocks to not function for me. Customer claims they have not worked a few times though..........brought me to wonder if it was going to sleep............ couldn't get it to do that either though.

Does this Vehicle have Factory "Roling Lock" turned ON?
Are you sure of connections @ Unit, Relays & Wires? Power & Ground also.
Sounds like "maybe" the Unit PINS are loose............

If you can't get it to duplicate, unhook it & have them drive
