I have the following questions. I have installed a Ultra Start 1250. Everything works except trunk release and heater.

This is a Maxima SE. It has climate control. Right now when I remote start the car the light for the climate control and the digital function comes on but the heater or AC doesn't kick on until the key is inserted. Can I just jump the two accessory wire together or do I need anything special?

Next the trunk release: The trunk relase has a constant 12 volts and when grounded the trunk pops open. The ultra start manual says "trunk realse outpit (-) 250am" what the does that me. I talk to the tech support he said using a 40/30 amp SPDT(Single pulse double th....) relay. Can some one help me understand how this would work. I kind a know how the relay works (it has a coil and you provide constant 12 volt and then you have a ground and then the trunk input and the remote start input). Please help

Check out this link...it's some good reading.

In your case, you'll need to interface with the ground switched wire for the trunk release. The (-)250mA means that the wire from the remote start's brain is a ground, and puts out 250 mA of current - enough to drive a relay, but not to operate anything directly.

Wire the relay as follows:
85 - (-)250mA output from remote start
86 - fused constant 12v+
87 - chassis ground
30 - trunk release wire on vehicle.

For the accessory circuit the proper way to power it is with another relay, assuming your unit doesn't have outputs for two accessory wires...this way the factory wires are kept isolated like they are supposed to be.
If the unit's got a (-) second accessory lead:
85 - (-) second accessory lead
86, 87 - fused constant 12v+
30 - second accessory wire on car

If the unit doesn't have that lead, wire 85 to ground, 86 to the first accessory lead, and 87 and 30 the same.

What acc. wire do you currently have hooked up?

I have found that the even though most tech sheets list 2 accessory wires for most Nissans, only the first one is usually needed. On your car that is the RED / yellow or red (the color changes at the plug). The other acc. wire (blue or WHITE/ blue) usually powers up the radio, wipers, power windows and other things you don't need (or want) running when the car is remote started.

Thanks, You are right. But I ended up jumping the two accessory wire together since they both were +12volts when key was turned in the ign. and everything works now. 

The question I still need answered is:

I am using a 40/30 Amp SPDT relay for the trunk release: I have it connected as you say above. The wire for trunk release is +12 and when grounded the trunk pops. The wire for the control module is     (-) 250amps.

The point of using a relay is that like I explained earlier, the output from the brain does not provide enough current to drive the trunk release circuit directly.

When you're seeing 12 volts on that wire, are you measuring it while it and the constant 12v+ are both connected to the relay? If that's the case then it's going to show 12 volts, because there is no voltage drop across the coil; but it'll work fine when you go to use the output.

Hi all,

I am going to install BOA remote start with keyless entry  model 265B for my nissan maxima 96. As I read the post from you guys I am confusing because I just tested all the wire from my car. There is 2 Accessory wire as JWrom mention only the first one is needed. On my car that is the red and the blue wire, so all I need is to connect the Acc wire from remote module to this Red wire right? In addition, I am concerning about start wire because there is also 2 wires that function the same when I tested these 2 wires which is BLACK / YELLOW and BLACK/ Green, the different is when I put in cranking position with the LED Probe. The BLACK / YELLOW  wire  show  the Red LED lit and exitinguish slowly when the start disengages. But the other (back/green) wire LED Lit and exitinguish right away when start disengages.  Any idea which one is the correct to connect the start wire? 

any input should appreciated it

You need to connect both start wires. The BLACK / YELLOW start wire is the primary wire which actually works the starter; the GREEN/ black is the cold start wire which gets powered the same as the other one.
