DEI 530T problems

I have had one 530T installed for over a year and the other for about 4 months with no problems. Yesterday they started to go down on their own and would not stay up. Everytime I armed the alarm (viper 791xv), the windows would go down.

Today I switched it so that channel 4 controls the windows down and channel 5 controls the windows up. It worked fine for about an hour and then the windows started to go down on their own again. They even go down when the alarm is on valet mode.

I find it hard to believe that both 530ts went bad at the same time, but does anyone know what else it could be. Thanks for the help.

Have you checked the wiring to make sure there is nothing pinched? It could be inside one of the brains so as far as trouble shooting goes try unplugging one of the brains and see if the problem persists then try unplugging the other brain.

I will try that in the morning. Right now I have the fuses pulled, and the problem still happens when only one is pulled but I will double check to see if anything is pinched. Thanks

Pulling the fuse isn't good enough. You have to unplug the main wiring harness for that part of the testing, it is ground that triggers the modules so if ground is still present the problem may still happen if one of the fuses is pulled.

Are they rolling down when the key is out of the ignition as well?

Yes the roll down when the key is out, will pull the harnesses out when there is light. Should I pull one harness at a time or should I pull both harnesses from one brain or does it matter?

Just pull the main harness with the power, grounds, and motor wires. You can leave the small gauge wiring harness in place. Only do one at a time though.
Also where are the modules located? door dash?
Try one, if problem is still there try the other.

So disconnect module 1(just pick 1 and call it 1). See if problem is still there.
Repeat with module 2.
If problem is only present with one module hooked up then you know which module/wiring is at fault.
