Hey all, I was an installer about 10 years ago (Viper 300 days) & things have changed a bit since. So, here's my situation.

I bought two of the DEI Hornet 553T Autostart alarms. One for my car & one for my wifes. They both work just fine for their respective cars. However, I'd like to only carry one remote that can control either car. I've checked the manual & it's unclear if what I want to do is even possible. I figure it should be possible, since they are 4-button remotes & because I don't need to remote start the other car, just arm/disarm it. Only problem is that I don't want to disarm both at the same time. Thus, I figure that there is some sort of procedure necessary. Any help is appreciated.

It can be done. Go to the second car with the first car remote in hand. Door open, ignition on. Press the valet button  once, release, press and hold. Press the button or buttons on the remote you want to arm/disarm. You can use the AUX, or any other combo of buttons at the same time. This will make that button do both arm and disarm. You can program the remote start the same way, just push the valet three times instead of once and use another channel.
