In a 2000 chevy tahoe in the ignition harness is the brown wire a 2nd accessory or a 3rd ignition? DEI says 2nd acc. but everyone else says 3rd ign..

acc... grab a meter and test it... if it's an acc it will drop out during crank....

Test the wires and find out for sure...you want to test all wires when doing any installations anyway.

If there's a WHITE wire in the bunch of ignition wires, this will be the 2nd IGN and the BROWN is not necessary for remote starts, it's a 2nd ACC wire. Use only if you want to have the radio, wipers, etc to turn on during remote start.
