Does any one know, do I have to install a transponder bypass in addition to the new CAN SL bypass module??

In other word does a bypass module have to have transponder bypass built in to it or you have to install a seperate module in addition??

Vehicle: 2004 Jeep grand cherokee

Its a little confusing to me......first time bypass installer.

There are two options now for the Jeep. You can have an all in one system that does Lock/Unlock, Driver priority unlock, Trunk, OEM security arm/disarm, Panic, Driver 1 memory setting & Transponder bypass. This is the JDL-PK system or you can get just the transponder bypass module or just the door lock module. The JDL-PK module is the same as the new XK modules, just not upgradeable via internet.
