Ground out while running normally goes to an optional bypass module, usually if the vehicle your working on has a factory security system and you need to bypass; you'd use this wire to hook up security bypass.

Only if the Dakota uses a GRAY key will you need a bypass module. If it doesn't have a GRAY key, then you won't need this wire at all ( unless you want to use it to bypass your clutch switch if it's a manual transmission truck ).

thanks guys, the truck has the gray key and I'm using the om-chrysler-1 bypass. The bypass doesn't have a "- when running " on it and the wiring chart doesn't mention it.

once again, many thanks

hey guys,

the starter is in, the vehicle will start then quit within 2 seconds when remote started. I have checked and rechecked the wiring, I suspect a problem with the OM-chrysler-1 bypass. Is this what happens when the bypass is faulty or not programmed properly?

Thanks

Turns out the om-chysler-1 was the problem, swapped it out and the truck ran fine.

Hey guys,

Here's one. The key chime is going off when the key is switched back to "OFF" after vehicle has been running, but before the door is opened. The doors were hooked up through the alarm arm/disarm. Is this normal or is there something I'm not doing?

Ciao
