Just had a customer bring in a car he bought, it has an omega rs7k2 remote start.

I downloaded a manual and tried to program the transmitter, my problems are that I can get the box to receive the remote signal when I program the remote, but after the programming is done, i can press the lock, unlock and start button and the box doesnt even get the signal. No relay clicking no nothing.

I know the box is active because if you turn the valet switch on, the parking lights flash 3 times.

Also the manual says to program a transmitter, turn ign on, press and hold any key on the transmitter, parking lights will flash, turn off ignition.

However these are the instructions for the rs7k, not the rs7k2, the difference is, there is no programming switch on the rs7k2 as there is on the rs7k.

I will probably recommend the customer just upgrade, but if anyones has any clues please post.

I know this sounds stupid, but did u try to change the battery on the remotes, even when the light is illuminating sometimes the remote still has a weak signal.

No, i dont actually have any batteries on hand. I do have 2 remotes, i suppose both could be too weak.

To Program Transmitters:

Flip Valet Toggle Switch ON / OFF 5 Times.
Parking Lights will FLASH ONCE, then TURN ON to indicate Unit is IN Programming Mode.
Press START Button on each Remote to be Programmed one at a time...
