i am installing a code alarm csi-200 on a friends truck. the hood pin needs a {-} input. is there any way to use the factory light mechanism under the hood. i have no idea what type of switch it is, but when you opne the hood it comes on. anyobe got any insite into this. thanks for the help

The OEM light uses a mercury switch to connect to (+). Just use a hood pin switch and mount it at the front of the hood hinge on the driver's side.
