Hi gang, newbie from Northern Ireland here.......hope you are all fine.

I installed an Arrow 3 in my Civic last week and all seems well apart from a few things.

I bought a Proximity Sensor 3 and Duplex Piezo Sensor to replace the standard Piezo Sensor and spare output.

Ok, alarm works perfectly with the Duplex Piezo sensor on the extra channel (for dual level) but when i plug the Proximity Sensor 3 into the single input, the Piezo sensor light comes on and stays on and there is no shock sensing at all.

As well as this, the sensing of the proximity Sensor seems very haphazard and i am not too sure how to adjust it or where to put it that best protects the car. This is not of main concern as i currently have not got the Prox Sensor installed due to it stopping the impact sensing.

Any ideas?

One other thing, i have the interior light wired to the clifford for a trigger and this works well, however, i also have the clifford wired to a relay to switch this light on upon disarm but it does not seem to be triggering the relay. The relay works as when i earth the switching input (which the Clifford should be doing) the light comes on, just the clifford doesnt seem to be doing it itself?

Again, any help much appreciated.

Regards

Andy @ Belfast

did you get the clifford dual zone proximity sensor which is a small black box with no adjusting sscrews on it? Or did you get the directed 508d which is clear with 2 adjusting screws on the top?

If you got the clifford one then its no good for that alarm.

The relay should be wired as follows:
85: wire from clifford (BLACK/ white?)
86: 12v +
87: ground/earth/12v -
30: output to clifford door trigger wire. (green?)

Proximity sensor 3 has a screw on the top of the sensor for adjusting it.

Best place for it to be mounted is in the headlining near the centre of the vehicle.

On page 21 of your install manual it shows you how to connect 2 sensors to the port.

Hi EvoUk.....thanks for the help.....

Yes, its the Clifford Prox Sensor 3 with the white screw on the face of it.........hoodlining eh...lol.....good job its all off for a respray :)

I dont understand that manual....mine is a g4 and i think is a wee bit different in that i have a 3pin and 4pin socket on my loom. By default, there is a single stage Piezo Sensor on the 3pin. So, i wanna put my Prox sensor here as its only single zone.

Now, i am putting my Duplex Piezo on the 4pin for dual stage shock sensing and it works brill on its own. Just, when the prox sensor is connected, it doesnt work at all.

Is there some setting i am missing, is there something in the installer options of Cliffnet Pro that would sort this?

Thats exactly how the relay is setup too chap.

85: wire from clifford
86: 12v +
87: earth-
30: output to clifford door trigger wire. (GREEN/ w red stripe)

But still no go......i cant even hear it clicking as it should............hope the arrow isnt broken :(
