I am installing a 561 R Valet remote starter in a 1999 civic. I need to find the defrost wire and how to wire the relay for this.

I did that once, you won't need a relais ,just get the the face out  behind the swicht you will see wire comming out    I think the color is brun and it is - trigger so just hook up the trunk wire  and this is it !

i have a rear defroster wire on the module itself. I might use the channel 2 output for a power trunk release at a further time.

What color was the wire?

In a blue connector at the top of the fuse box, you will see a blue wire with a yellow stripe....it needs a latched pulse POS(+) this will turn on the rear defroster.
