The nuber to my Alpine alarm in SEC-150R, its the one with impact and 2 stage radar

With ref to the immobilizer system, my vehicle is equipped with one I had a look at the Hyundai electronic manual last night while at the dealership, it appears to have all kinds of parts to the keyless entry, there is the SMATRA, ETACS ( i think thats part), a burglar relay by the steering column.

I have also been told that bypassing the factory alarm will fry my comp, is this true?  The dealership told me this, I honestly think its a crock because they also told me that I couldn't remove the factory stereo but that was a lie, unfortunately my alternator isnt quite strong enough to power the system properly.

Thanks again

Donnie

Some of the new Hyundai vehicle you can not disarm the OEM security system without the OEM FOB remote, so you have to carry around two remotes. I've heard that you can pulse the trunk wire ( .5 seconds ) to disarm the OEM security, but I have not tried this myself. As far as frying the ECM, you can if you short the system out, but not likely if everything is done properly.
