Hi there, I had the same thing happen to me with a ct3400 about 2 weeks ago. Instead of holding the lock button down until you get 5 flashes, try tapping the lock  button and then tapping the unlock buton during that final step. Thats how I got mine to program. let me know how you make out as I have one still in the box i can test

ah i found out i guess what i did wrong  when i hold the 4 seconds first time and says  hold once again when light comes on  dont hold it for 4 seconds till like comes off i just push it down and release and it stays in the mode,  so now i got the remote to work,  i just got it working 15 min ago lol  i can unlock and lock doors and release trunk  but  i can not get it to start the car  it flashes  a bunch of times and then nothing  did u have same problem then also

No never had that problem, but check to make sure your hood is closed and your brake pedal is not pushed. how many flashes are you getting ?

brake pedal works cuz i was able to reset the module,  i think it flashes 4 or 5 times  and when i choose valet mode and then press the starter button again  i get "call" with a phone beside it and the remote beeps

users manual has the parking light flash error codes . 4 flashes means 12 volts are present on your brake wire, 5 flashes means new remote learned. Also did you do a tach learn, i beleive you must learn the tach once before the vehicle will attempt to start.

so 4 flashes is good then  sothats good  no didnt do tach learn yet  ill go try that in 15 min  and then ill let u know

No actually 4 flashes(12 volts on the orange brake wire) will prevent the car from starting. Make sure you do not have your foot on the brake while tryung to start it, and make sure you do not have 12 volts on the orange brake wire.

Also just read that you must do a tach learn first, otherwise the vehicle will not attempt to start and will give 5 flashes on the parking lights. That is most lickely the problem.

hi i had the remote starter in the car for a week now  no problems  today my dad started up the car  and shut it off by the remote but couldnt get it started again,  it then started unlocking the trunk  and the doors kept unlocking and relocking,   only thing i forgot to do was put  fuses  in between the purple orange green yellow ires between the remote starter and the relay but i had wred fuses from the constant power to the relay to go to the starter. accesssiroires,  etc.   so if i put a new fuse in the red constant power to the remote starter the headslights stay on  blower motor running

so what could have causeds a feed back? to blow the remote starter  even with a fuse in those and it had blown the fuse  what would have caused it to blow?  car is a winter car and isnt on road yet its been in same spot all week just testing once a day the car starter  everything else is working

get back to me asap  anyone with info

sounds like you have wiring problem. BTW, the brain comes with a lifetime warranty. It sells at your local Canadian Tire store. You can buy a new one there.

Wondering, who install the starter for you.

damn i posted but it didnt post

i installed it  i had a friend that is a remote installer to tell me what i all needed and it worked for a week  just today,  so i never put a fuse between  the mote starter to ingiiton starter  accessory 1 & 2    but if there was back feed voltage  how would this come to be?  if it worked all this time,  it blew the one 30 amp fuse  on the red line  but dod they give u a warrenty if u install it urself?    there isnt a wireing problem  or it should have shorted out  at the first time right?  also relays are brand new too

would the cold have something to do with it? he tried to start it this morning when it was cold to see how it would do  minus 16 it was  cuz  after a week of testing it shouldnt have blown  if it was bad wiring  which  i know i didnt do bad wiring

Nope, sounds like improper installation. You did solder those high current lines I hope.....

well i dunno why would it go after week not first day?

well no i didnt solder the wires going into  ingition, starter, acc 1 and 2,  no way u can do it  but i did what they say  in other installs  open up the wire make a hole  then shove the wire in  wrap it around  and then zip tie  and tape it off,  so its all tight,  cuz  it started it up  for entire week  no problems

i followed the instructions even changed the jumper from starter to access 2  cuz i used the relay on the starter and not the accessory

so what other ideas u got?

i also never pujt no diode in after the relay to the white whire  (when running ground)  since it was only  relay on that wire

so i kinda lost

Bad ground perhaps, your wiring on the high current lines should be soldered. You are creating all sorts of possible issues by not having a solid connection on the high current lines. The poke push and twist routine that some people do create business for installers like me. Do it properly and yes they can be soldered. I have yet to come across a vehicle than cannot be. Where in Canada are you?

where would be a bad ground?  i have only 1 ground wire for the unit and i put it to a bolt screw that holds the fuse box for the car in place, i crimped it on with a loop connector.  and  i dunno its a bitch to lay upside down and try to get a solder gun up in  the steering coloumn to get at the 4 wires  since its a bloody lumina car lol  crap nothing but problems  haha  cant even get a tach wire for it so i had to use injector wire.   so the push and twist is no good?  i solderd all the other wires,  cuz i always solder  just i had troubles reaching at it as is  cuz cuz even get wire strippers in there had bitch time with an exctao knife to cut away the wire.  Im in ontario  near peterborough

so then the wires from the module to the relays and igniton and access wires dont have to be fused?  doesnt matter then either,  so  bad ground u think hmm,  i dunno  i figured if i did something bad it have happened in the first 20 starts i did with the remote

hmmmm

did  u do push and twist  then solder cuz there is no way u can just strip the wire and solder,  it  thats no possible  how is ur trick of doing it???  for the one i had to use needle nose plyers to push the wire in to get access to the wire

i was thinking i never added a Diode  since i was only using  1 relay    would it have fed back up the grounding while running  and fried the computer  what size of diode do i need

hi  last posts getting to long,  I was wondering i never put a diode on the ground while running wire,  could it have back feeded and burned out the computer?   its only one relay   but never put one on there,  2nd  what size do i need?
