The LCD on my compustar 2wssr remote just broke. I've had the system for only about four months, but I installed it myself, so I have no warranty. Is my best bet to just buy a new remote at a dealer? Does anyone know how much these remotes go for?

Sorry, I found some search results by searching for compustar remote instead of 2WSSR. Well, then to keep the thread productive, is there any use in trying to take this up with compustar since I got the alarm online?

Did the case break or the actual LCD portion. You can buy just the case if the plastic is broken. PM me if you need more information on this.

No, the LCD itself is cracked. It doesn't display anything. Also, who is that email to?

if you buy the remote at an authrized dealer, you will get a one year warranty on it.

Compustar also has an out of warranty replacement program. After that 1 year, it is only $25 to replace a defective remote. If you lose the remote, you obviously have to buy a new one.

That's good to know. Thanks. I'll probably go that route then.
