Installed a BullDog Remote Start on gf's Outback for Xmas. The RS worked, however, I now have a Big Problem: The operation was a success but the patient died!
The Check Engine [or some such name] light now blinks furiously: a mechanic aquaintance read out the ~7 computer codes and they indicated an ABS failure. [That acquaintance said he cleared the codes, but the Check light immediately returned upon restarting the car.] I'm fairly confident I didn't short anything, but I pulled on a lot of cables and disconnected/reconnected extensively while searching for the parking light wire [finally found]. I think I've tugged something loose for ABS [my acquaintance thought a "ground wire"?!] and can't identify -what-/where it happened.
I'm used to having manuf. service manuals on my autos, but lack one for this Subaru. 'Looked at the official one once in a Subaru shop and was appalled: far poorer than any Honda or Mazda manual I've used. Anyway, I've found no Haynes or other reference books for this auto so I could use any description/directions/URLs that might lead me to the ABS plugs/relays.
Any guidance would be appreciated! Thanks...

jmcmillan, I don't know of any free URL for this but, if you dont mind paying a bit you might be able to get an alldata subscription for your vehicle. I think it's $25 for 1 yr for 1 vehicle. Next best thing I can tell you is to post your question at this car forum. There are alot of helpful mechanics there. They have helped me in the past. It helps the site with upkeep costs when someone subscribes through there. I hope that doesn't sound like I have an affiliation with them because I assure you I don't. Hope this helps

Thanks for the info, boomer: I didn't know about that site, having done my auto work from shop manuals until now. It and AllData look like good resources.
Guess I'll sleep on it, and make any decisions in the morning.

"Socially Engineered" a solution by chatting up two [more] Subaru Service Managers: the second gentleman said "It's the green connector -- disconnect that -Test Connector- and you'll be fine."
Sigh... I'd reconnected something I hadn't disconnected.
Once again, in life: document, document, document! I should have put tags on each connector I'd separated so I'd only reconnect those. I wasn't bright enough to realize that amidst all those connections and connectors -without- mates, there would be some -with- mates which were "legally separated". :)
All's well; all's back together and working, but I'm beat from three days of unneeded stress! Thanks for your suggestions -- they'll be of use in the future.
