I have three more of these units on the shelf.  While installing one last week, I noticed both the installation and the user's manual refer to two seperate buttons for lock and unlock.  The remotes that are supplied with these units only have one button for both.

This is not a major problem, until you try and program the unit.  In the installation manual, the unit is programmed using the lock button to choose a feature to program, and the unlock button to select an option for that feature.  That's difficult considering these are the same button on the remotes.

If anyone has run into this problem and knows how to program these units with this little glitch, please let me know.  Thanks.

OK, I finally got the correct info from their tech support.  It seems that there was an error when the installation manual was printed.  So, if anyone has the same units on the shelf, here's the correct info on programming...

1. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.

2. Press and release the program switch 3 times.

3. Immediately turn the ignition key OFF, then back ON.

4. Press and release the program switch 2 times.

5. Use Button 2 (right-hand/Start button) to advance to the feature you want to change.

6. Use Button 1 (left-hand/lock/unlock button) to change the selection of the feature selected.

Hope this helps anyone that finds themselves in the same predicament that I was in... trying to install on a weekend w/o tech support available.

No problem.  I do a lot of searching thanks to this site.  I can't provide new, beneficial info very often, but when I can, I do.

Thanks to the12volt.com!
