A few retailers are giving / selling these units with 1 ( one ) Transmitter.  Has anyone used this Unit??  I have found that you can not Program or use the Transmitter within 3 feet of Vehicle...........Why???   Is this a DEI joke?

I called 12 12  because it runs for 12 minutes and the remote works a 12feets of distance  DEI made it to compite with another cheap R/S on the market.

I bought four of these units for Xmas presents last year for family members.  I only installed two, they are junk.  If you unhook the battery you HAVE to relearn the remote the FIRST time you start the car.  A pain in the ass, and the range is NO better then an OEM remote.  A total waste of my time and money, and a huge blow to the DEI rep.  The only reason I bought them is because I knew DEI made them.  I will never buy a DEI remote start again, just based on principle and wasted money.  I would rather install a Bulldog....

I installed a one of these and it worked fine for 3 months and out of the blue the remote stopped working. the module still locks the doors when the car is started and unlocks them when the car is turned off. which leads me to believe the problem is with the remote. any suggestions or ideas how i can fix the problem or get a new remote.

As a DEI dealer I chose not to get the BOA "promo starter". Although I have never used the piece myself I heard nothing good about it. Instead I spent the few extra bucks for the Valet 561R.

When i first looked at this product i started to laugh cause it was a do it yourself remote start. The video is funny. I actualy don't think that dei makes. Just puts thier name on it.

Yeah.... we had a few beers one night and fired up the video on the shop computer.... and proceeded to laugh our asses off. Unreal. Did use the promo code to sign up one of the other local shops for tech support and updates on the BOA DIY product line though....
