hey all, just curious if anyone has installed a r/s on a 2005 toyota sienna. data sheets are great information, but i was wondering how tough this vehicle is to do. I am not looking for wiring info, rather how hard it is to get to some of the wires, ie. any difficult panels to be removed ect. any experience or helpful hint would be greatly appreciated. thank-you in advance

the last sienna i had pulled apart i dont remember being terribly difficult to get to the wires or pull the panels off.. but im 99% sure its going to be a transponder system which may present a problem

I've done tons of them, an easy install. It needs a bypass, and you need to hook up the keysense wire to deactivate the factory alarm. Also, be sure to use negative parking lights, using a positive will blow a fuse.

hey guys, thanks for the insight. do you recall if it was difficult, or where you went through into the engine compartement,and the easiest location to pick up the lock wires. thank-you again for your replies

hey mike m2 sorry forgot to ask, the key sense wire, can you use say a disarm wire to pulse that wire, or does it need to see a negative through the crank cycle. I would imagine you just have to pulse this before the r/s activates. is that correct. thanks again

oops never mind about the key sense, it would only make sense to supply this wire with a neg for as long ar the vehicle is running, ie. a relay on to the ign wire simulating the key in the ignition. sorry about the question
