I am sure everybody has their PERSONAL picks, but I don't think this should be the place to DOWN other Installers products...............

To many the difference between a good one and a bad one is not only the product the support as well. If you have a great product but something goes wrong and you have a question for the techs. and you can never get in touch with them or they give you the run around etc..that will make them a bad alarm company in my opinion

Hopefully the opinions are based on personal experience with the products.
Good or bad, it would be more helpful if there are some details on just what factors were involved.
If the opinion is that Brand X is bad, is it because of support issues, or because the control modules fail early and often, or the remote transmitter range is too short, or ?.
If support is bad, is it because they don't deal with end user installers, or because they don't speak the same language, or they just don't have a clue-
The only specific problem I've seen mentioned regarding some Scytek units is the two way remotes failing; if multiple reports come up with the same problems, it would indicate it's a trend and not just an isolated incident. That's the kind of information that would be useful in making a decision on what to get.
Generally it's the professional installers that would work with enough units to see the trends; otherwise, it may not be valid to make a general statement on a company based on one or two units.
I can say, even with my limited universe of two units, that Scytek should work on their documentation to make the descriptions in the manuals match the actual hardware; that's something that can't be attributed to a fluke. Even so, I'd prefer documentation problems to actual hardware problems-

Yes i agree they should update their documentation. they guy i get my alarms from does all the support for me i have no problems with support. i mainly do the precision 22 and the astra 777 no problems as of yet except for a user breaking his pager by smashing the screen. LOL pager still works an range is fine just can't read the screen.
the range on the systems isn't bad. i've done about 15 scytek alarms. clifford alarms are also an excelent brand
