I have found differnet wiring options for the door locks on the 2005 tahoe, none of which seem to work.

Has anyone found a way to hook up the lock and unlock feature?   If so where are the wires and what color are they?

Please be specific as to which box and which plug.

You either have to go into each door or use a data module.

What is a data module?  Where do I get one?

Its a module that you connect your lock wires from your alarm/remote start and it connects to 1 wire on you OBD diagnostic connector under the dash. If your installing a remote start they also can by pass the passlock key.

Use the data module , costs a bit more ,but man what a snap it is to use,   easy to setup.   I bought mine from here  WWW.Bypasskit.com

I just installed it on 2003 Trailblazer, locks work fine no wires in door , check the site out and see if the GMDL-BP is what you want ,there is a  more advanced one  depends what ya want it to power up from the Dataport.

There are a few others I have read about , but I have to tell you this one was a snap and works fine, well worth the 95 bucks I paid for it

So there is no need to go into the doors? Or to add any of the relays, cut wires etc.?

That makes sense I guess since it is multiplexed & all but why is there a lock/unlock wire going into this module? I do have this same module and am trying to get this installed properly on my '04 Yukon.

Thanks!

Connect door wires from RS  to I believe grn & blu on the data module, follow directions on the module set up ,should set it up correctly, its a multiplex  setup so the Databus will do the work, thats what I did on my 2003 Trailblazer  works fine
