I've installed a remote starter in my 2001 dakota. Does anyone know if and how I can use the auxilary output (pulse to ground) to turn on my rear window defrost heated side view mirrors?

go to the switchs and test with multimeter.....then use a relay and wire 5wire to turn the defrost on....

Where theres is a wire there's a way.

Done. More complicated that that though. The switch is a momentary push button. I had to disassemble the heater control housing and solder to the heater control circuit board; one wire on either side of switch 2 (SW2). When you touch the wires together (ultimately use a relay) it closes the switch, turning on the defrost.

Thanks for the encouragement to figure it out myself.
