I was wondering if anyone knew how to wire up a 2001 maxima to still have one press disarm and unlock the drivers door, and another click unlock the other doors? The unit is a 791xv. I know where the door lock/unlock and disarm and rearm wires are. I have read about the second unlock pulse. If I connect the second unlock wire to the same wire as I connect the unlock wire from the alarm, will it work as before? With one click disarming and unlocking just the drivers door, then another click opening the rest? Thanks

u will have to wire up relays and wire into the passangers door.

Cut the WHITE/ black motor leg at the secu, relay it and use that as first unlock. second unlock will be hooked to the BROWN / yellow without a relay.

I'm sorry but I'm still pretty confused. Use the unlock wire from the alarm, to trip a relay to send voltage to WHITE/ black? Or use the WHITE/ black wire to actually trip the relay? The second unlock seems easy enough. If I wire it as you described, will one click open the drivers, then two clicks opens the rest? "Cut the WHITE/ black motor leg at the secu, relay it and use that as first unlock. second unlock will be hooked to the BROWN / yellow without a relay."

Probably a stupid question, but how does a second unlock wire work? If I click unlock twice on the remote, will it output a neg. just on the second click? It's a 791xv that I will be installing.

Maybe i'm making this more confusing than necessary. What if I just program the alarm to do a double pulse for unlock? Or would that open all doors at once?

That won't work. Ok, your lock wire goes to gray(pin 23 at SECU) that we know. Your second unlock wire on your alarm will go to BROWN / yellow(pin 35 at SECU). The unlock wire on your alarm will feed a relay, pin 85. Pin 86 and pin 87 will go to 12Volts. Cut the WHITE/ black(pin 13 at SECU) and connect the SECU side to pin 87a on the relay. Pin 30 will go towards the the door lock motor. That's it!

Ok i think I got it. After all that, I still need to program it for a double pulse right? or just program it to use the second unlock wire? I really appreciate your help, this would have been impossible for me to figure out on my own. Thanks

If it has a program for second unlock, yes. You won't need double pulse unlock, that's for 2004 Maxima and up. You will need to hook up an alarm disarm wire if you have a factory alarm...
