I'm installing the RSA900FM in a 03 ford focus and have some questions. I got the wiring diagram off bulldog.com, so i'm not sure if its accurate. Any help would be greatly appreciated
1. Whats the color of the arm and disarm wires and where are they located? It says N/A on wire digram for these wires.
2. Does the trunk release need an additional relay?
3. On the diagram it says to hook up the domelight to the door trigger. There are two door trigger wires and I need to put diode isolates on each of them. What side of the diode should I hook the domelight wire into?
4. On this car, one push of the unlock button will unlock the drivers side door and another push will unlock all the doors. The brain has a second unlock wire, but the wiring diagram lists only one. Do I need to isolate the drivers side door?
5. On the RSA's main wire harness there are three red wires. Two with fuses and one with a relay. Do I only need to use the red one on pin 1 as the 12 volt constant?

I'm working on putting an alarm starter compustar 2W900 in a 03 ford focus.
I've talked to some people that say I need a relay for the trunk release, and others say I don't need it.
Do I need one and will it do damage if its not in place.
Can I hook the dome light output and the door trigger together and conect them with 2 diodes to the two door trigger wires?

A. I assume your talking about the factory alarm disarm. This wire is is BLACK/ white in the drivers kickpanel. Remove the kickpanel and the wire harness is tucked behind the black foamy plastic in the corner. This is the same place you will find the lock, unlock, and door trigger wires.
2. Does the trunk release need an additional relay? A. Does your alarm put out a negative pulse from the truck release wire? If so just connect it to the BLACK / YELLOW wire at the trunk release switch. If it puts out a positive pulse you will need a relay wired as follows pin 87 & 85 to ground, pin 30 to the BLACK / YELLOW truck release of the car, and pin 86 to the positive pulse from your alarm.
3. On the diagram it says to hook up the domelight to the door trigger. There are two door trigger wires and I need to put diode isolates on each of them. What side of the diode should I hook the domelight wire into?
A. There is a all door trigger wire in the left kick panel which is a negative trigger BLACK/ blue wire no diodes needed. use a test light or meter to check there are 2 wires in there. Use the one that is negative with the door open and dome light on. See your question number one answer for wire location. Also when using this all door trigger for your alarm the BCM goes to sleep after 20 minutes and can false trigger your alarm. Place a 10K ohm resister between the door trigger wire (not the domelight supervision wire but the actual alarm triiger wire) and 12 volts. This resistance will eliminate fulse triggers.
4. On this car, one push of the unlock button will unlock the drivers side door and another push will unlock all the doors. The brain has a second unlock wire, but the wiring diagram lists only one. Do I need to isolate the drivers side door? Answer: To connect drivers door priority you will need 3 wires from the car BLACK/ red lock wire BLACK / YELLOW unlock wire and the BLACK/ white unlock motor wire. (use a meter or test light to check for the unlock wire thre are 2 BLACK / YELLOW wires in this location. The wire that shows ground while holding unlock.) Connect your negative Lock output wire to the BLACK/ red, connect your negative output 2nd unlock wire from your alarm module to the BLACK / YELLOW unlock wire and finally you will need a relay for the last wire. Cut the BLACK/ white drivers door unlock motor wire and wire a relay as follows. Pins 87 & 85 to a fused constant 12 volt source, Pin 86 to the negative unlock pulse from the alarm module, Pin 87a to the switch side of the motor, and Pin 30 to the lock motor.
Your 5th question I will leave for someone else to answer since I am not familar with that system but what I told you above is the basics with any alarm.
