Compustar 2WSS-AS start problem Finished installing Compustar 2WSS-AS today and it the starter don’t work. I followed https://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread...ruha+compustar instructions. I cut the jumper wire in side of the main unit to make it work with automatic transmission Tachometer was learned successfully as indicated by one beep (so some things work;)) but it still will not start. (no cranking or any signs of life) After I push the (II) button for 2 sec to start. Remote beeps 3 times -> car beeps 3 times -> car flashes 2 times and after a few sec. pause it flashes 7 times (indicating Reservation mode OFF) it suppose to be a manual transmission code only and I got 02 RSX Automatic. . Any help is appreciated.

When you cut the GREEN / WHITE wire inside the CPU did you separate the wires ? Also, make sure you test for residual power on the ignition switch incase the 2 flashes after the 3 beeps was also a indication of your problem.

Thank you Velocity Motors, I just rechecked all the connections and it checked out 100%. The GREEN / WHITE jumper wire is cut and separated. Could you please tell me how to check the residual power on ignition switch. Thank you

I set the reservation mode and it started up. How go I get this thing to understand that it is automatic. The wires are cut and separated, I don’t know what else to do. Turning key on and off did not work. I also tried taking out power fused and the battery out of the remote to reset the system. There has to be some way to do it. Thank you for everyone.

The new compustars don't use the jumper inside the unit for automatic transmissions anymore. However, the ones I have don't have the green white wire anymore, and have a big sticker on the dipswitch door that states "Manual" or "Automatic". I would call Ray in tech support at Firstech 888-820-3690 and describe the problem. Maybe they sent out some of the newer dedicated units with the jumper wire. If not, you probably have a defective brain. ------------- bzzzzttttt
