Ok heres the deal, i installed a remote start on a 2004 chrysler pacifica and after the car remote starts the heat will shut off about 10-20 seconds after the car is running. now, if done dozens of chryslers with the same starting circuit, with the secondary negative start wire with the 180 ohm resistance. has anyone else encountered this problem!? I dont really know where to go from this point on, ive tried different resistors on the negative start wire, ive even tried relay isolating away from the key cylinder on that PURPLE / gray wire and nothing prevents the heat from shutting off. Ive already called audiovox tech and they havent told me anything i dont already know, so hopefully someone reading this has encountered this same problem.

on the PURPLE / brown negative start wire im assuming your talking about? because it almost seems like a databus proplem, when i unplugged the trilogix xk1 data module the heat didnt fluctuate like it did when the data module was plugged in.

Try disconnecting the relay that you hooked up to the accessory wire and solder the wire back together. I have had similar problems, (2005 grand cherokee).

Ive also been told that you dont even need to hook up the PURPLE / brown as a 2nd start wire like dei is saying to do, this info is coming from trilogix. so am i correct in assuming you just have your ignition ouput from your remote starter triggering a relay that is providing a 520 ohm resistance to ground on the PURPLE / brown wire? customer is coming in tomorrow so ill give this a shot and hopefully it solves the problem.

by the way, this vehicle starts fine without doing anything to the PURPLE / brown which is supposedly the 2nd starter wire.
