I just got done putting a remote start unit on this vehicle. Everything went fine except for the locks. The lock works fine but the unlock will not work. I found the wires at the harness above the passanger side kick panel. I used RED / black for lock and ORANGE / black for unlock. There are two of the ORANGE / black wires in that harness but niether one would work. My info said I had to give a 3.5 sec. pulse for the unlock wire to activate? I have nevr heard of that. The unit I installed will give a 3.5 sec output for the lock. but only a double pulse for the unlock. Any and all help is much appreciated.

does it have a factory alarm or not?

The door lock wires will only meter when turning the key in either door key cylinder. Also have to program the door lock pulse duration for 3.5 seconds to unlock the doors. On vehicles without the factory alarm, use lt. blue for lock and white for unlock. Find the wires in either kick panel.

what unit r u installing?

If you program the lock to give 3.5 sec pulse usualy the unlock will also.
