I just installed a Crimestopper RS830 in a 1997 Olds Achieva (2.4L motor)and I'm having starting issues. When I set it up for tach mode I used the tach finder and got a good signal from the coil but when I try to RS the car it won't disengage the starter. In tachless mode it starts up fine but won't start the car when it gets below 25 degrees out. Any suggestions? (I also have a 2000 Cavalier doing the same thing (2.2L motor)

Try putting the car in gear then learning the tach.

If you look at page 11 in the manual it will tell you what to do to re-set the unit in tachless mode.
