I installed a 1-way compustar alarm on a '99 Civic about 4 months ago.  The alarm just stopped working.  This was my first alarm to install, so I'm not sure if it's just something easy that I'm overlooking, or if it's something more complicated.  I've checked all fuses, but they're still good.  The remote still unlocks the drivers door, but to get the other doors to unlock I have to push the lock button after the unlock button. Everything worked great for 4 months, now nothing works except the keyless entry but its not working like it should.

Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Thanks   TEX

I've checked most of my connections, But I'm not sure what you mean by "the earth".  I've never heard of an earth.

Thanks, TEX

Thanks Hooligand,

That makes sense. I've checked the ground once, but it wouldn't hurt to check it again. Thanks for the input.

I've checked and rechecked the ground, 12v constant, and the ignition at the brain. they all read what they should. I can't figure out what it could be.

Please let me know if anyone has any ideas.

Something is definately wrong with the lock/unlocking. But if it's still doing that or attempting and not sounding the siren, then it's most likely in valet mode.

Check the back of the remote and press the appropriate buttons.

I have done quite a few of these alarms and there has also been quite a few people with the same issue. You're not the only one man. :)
