I recently installed a remote start on my F150.  The key will no longer start the vehicle unless the pass4 tronsponder module is disconnected and I do not understand the problem.  The remote start works fine and it will drive when remote started first.  But the key does not work in the ignition unless remotely started first.  Any comments are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for any interest

How do you have the PASS 4 hooked up?  Is it Powered Up when the Key is turned ON?

The pass4 has an antenna loop which is hooked up around the ignition.  It also has three wires coming from it.

Green- key sense inhibit- I hooked it to a black and pink wire right on ignition

Red (+)12 volts- I hooked up to the same 12 volt supply as the remote start module

Blue/white (-)Ignition-  I grounded

The remote start works fine and starts the vehicle and then you can put the key in but you have to use the remote starter in order to operate the vehicle.  Thenk you for your concern any more comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Its because you have your bypass on at all times. You don't want to ground the blue/white wire. You want to run it to your remote starters (-) status output / active output / or ignition 3 negative output.

NowYaKnow,

Thank you very much.  I really appreciate the assistance.  I just tried to hook it up and everything is working great now.  Happy holidays to you and your family.
