Have an Astra 1000RS-2W remote start unit in an '04 Yukon. Many times it will start and run for less than a minute and just shut itself off. Using a bypass (GMDL-BP I think...) that has a 1 wire connection to the datastream to control bypass & locks.

I'll call the company too, but you guys have been good. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Todd

I just installed one in my 2003 Trailblazer , using the same bypass as you, first few times i started it, I noticed the same problem, but has been installed 3 weeks now and working fine.

Did you recheck the wiring?  I believe the wiring is similar to the Trailblazer , I used white /parklamps,blue /org=grnd  running,grn/wht= brake,blk/gry=tach,yellow/ start on the harness, red /power,blk /grnd.use the grn,blu to hook up to your gmdl  for the locks.

I have not hooked the hood pin up need to get another I broke the damn thing.

let it run 20 min to learn the tach   should be it

Read the instruction book a few times  as it's a little confusing as to how to set the system up, if you have a problem write me , i can answer some of your questions and this site is a wealth of knowledge.

Good luck on contacting Astra, I sent them an email asking a question 3 wks ago and still haven't heard form them
