alright label me n00b of the year, first time doing an 'alarm install' the only function i plan to use on it is the keyless entry, on an AVISTART 3200(until i get the passlock override for the remote starter part), i have all wiring diagrams for the unit however, few questions. what kind of method do the lock switch use? its got 4 wires blue orange white and something else if i remember correctly. other main question, where are you supposed to mount the fuseblock looking ends where you wiring the inputs and outputs? much appreachated if anyone can help, flame me if this is to dumb of a question! my expertise lies elsewhere.

as for the door locks it should be  the Light Blue to lock and white to unlock (requires a + trigger) ALWAYS TEST WIRES w/ a Digital Multimeter

POWER LOCK LIGHT BLUE (TYPE A)  IN DRIVERS KICK PANEL
POWER UNLOCK WHITE (TYPE A)  IN DRIVERS KICK PANEL

ok i figured out which was which, hooked it up to the fuse looking harness, got the units power and ground hooked up, im trying to program it just for the locks, it just blinks the LED when i push the "arm" button
and makes a series of clicking noises when i press the "disarm" button

so you have the systems Lock  & unlock (-) Pulse wires hooked up to a relay to provide a Positive trigger or you just connected them w/out a relay???

I would just unplug the unit make sure you have a nice clean ground( no paint or rust) and 2x chk lock/unlock wires w/ ur DMM  you should have a 0 then when triggered goes to a positive, chk  the wiring of ur Relay,

also the unit responds to the remote, any possibility that the problem is with the programming? i cant get the valet button to do what the manual says it should act like
IE, Key on, press valet number of times 1-9 to choose program, then press and hold.
