hey guys..

Quick question for you techs..... does the 2006  Infinity g35 coupe or any year for that matter... have a neutral safety wire...  the reason im asking is we are trying to install a remote start in this car and want to make it safe as possible.... or is there a pin switch setup for sale to make it work.... we are using a 791xv viper alarm if that matters.....

Regards

Rob

I believe I read there is a wire at the ECU that indicates if the car is in gear or not. For some reason I remember reading it is a GREEN / WHITE wire.

The 03s and 04s have one for sure, and I'm pretty sure the 05s would have it also, as Nissan uses this signal as a no load indicator to the ECU.  This wire goes to ground when the car is in N, and floats when the car is in any of the 7 gears.  The ECU uses this signal to limit RPM when the car is in N (ie under a no load condition)

Jump on www.G35driver.com and ask someone to Email you the EC.pdf file from the 05 coupe service manual.   Around page 100 you will find your answer.

On the 2004 coupe the PNP (park nuetral position switch) is GREEN/ orange, and is pin 102 on the ECU connector.

Grab the EC.PDF file from the 06 service manual and look around page 100 for the PNP switch.
