Does anybody know what wire(s) are used to arm/disarm Subaru's factory alarm?  It is in a 2003 Forester.  The info I have doesn't show it.

From other sources, the Subaru requires the OEM FOB to disarm & arm the system, no way around it as of yet.

There is a way to disarm factory alarm for remote start. . . . .

Find the factory alarm module, and the keyless entry module. . ..

alarm is usually to left or right of the steering column, and the keyless is either under and behind the radio, or under the console. Find the ignition wire that powers the module ( some models have two ign. wires) cut the wire and use a relay to seperate the wire(s) during remote start. This will keep the alarm from going off, if the car has an alarm that looks like it was installed at the dealer (usually older models pre 99) it has a Code Alarm shock sensor, so seperate the ground witha relay for that also or unplug it. See if the alarm is triggered by the key sense wire from the ignition switch. do that by arming the system while you are in the car and putting the key in the ignition without turning it. if it sets it off seperate that wire also, (some models it does some it doesnt cant find rhyme or reason) 2

Next find the keyless entry module and seperate the ignition or ignitions during remote start so they can use the keyless entry while the car is running

I hope this helps cause i had to figure this all out at night, outside. Pain in the ass to do but it works flawlessly. Been doing them at the Subie dealer for a year now and no comebacks for the alarm.
