Hey guys, I got a problem with my Freedom 500 (Omega Research) alarm.  It worked fine for about a year, but now all of a sudden when I disarm it and start the car the alarm will arm itself and starts chirping. I'm not able to disarm it neither with the remote nor with the vallet switch. The exterior lights keep on constant instead of blinking and the only way to shut it off is cutting out power. I tried reprogramming the alarm with no success. All other alarm functions work fine.

Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance!

Hi.
Yes, I tried disconnecting the battery for a while. I also disabled the ignition module out, since the problem begins only when the car starts, but still no luck. I'm thinking it's the alarm's brain module that has gone bad. What I did was to hook up a switch so I can cut the the alarm's power out before cranking the engine, that's the only solution by now.

Ps: weird thing is that the alarm arms itself while the engine is running. While the ignition switch is in the ON position with engine off it gives no problems though.
