I just installed a remote start on my brothers 02 sequoia and everything works great... >>problem is that when the vehicle is remote started the remote no longer works>>> usually disabled for when you get into the vehicle?? Does anyone have experience with this problem.. I need to find the ignition wire on the factory keyless system to add a relay to cut this wire when the its remote started in order to no loose the functionality and to enable it to lock/unlock the doors and I used the valet 561t which uses the double pulse lock to remote start and which would be same double pulse lock to remote turn off/ but since the keyless is disabled once the vehicle is remotely turned on then hence my problem !!!!

any suggestions>>>> any help appreciated!!

All Toyota / Lexus cars have this problem. Whenever a remote start is needed We just install a full remote start system with keyless entry. Thats your best bet.

I do a lot of these and have never found a way around it. I think the factory Keyless is part of the actual BCM. I doubt there is a solution. Bottom line is a key must be used to enter the car....

Me either....better to just install a system with everything on the aftermarket remote.
