I am trying to install a dynolock electric tailgate lock for my 2005 TRD double cab Tacoma. The direction they have provided say to attach on to the pink/blue wire(lock) and the blue/white wire (unlock). The unit is not working so when I searched this website I found the power lock wires listed as purple(lock) and GREEN/ black (unlock).

My question is which is correct ? Is the attachment wires different for a tailgate lock versus a car alarm?

Ok I found the correct wiring that worked for this electric tailgate lock. (nothing like a circuit tester).

The pink/blue wire (lock)
The blue/black wire (unlock)
