Does it start at all? If it isn't starting perhaps your combo unit had a starter kill in place? As far as the problem with your gauge goes, does it affect anything else besides the fuel gauge or just that one gauge? I have never heard of Passkey3 causing gauge problems. Give us a bit more information and we might be able to give you some more ideas.

This car is a passlock 2 system. I am having the same problem with the gas gauge. I was told there is a service bulletin from GM on the gauge. Not sure what it involves. As far as the car not cranking look at the large wires comming from the switch. Check and see if the yellow wire has been cut and hooked to a relay somewhere. Should be easy to find...

Just a thought, what if it's not alarm related at all? What's the chances it's a starter solinoid problem and a fault with the guage....

GM Passslock systems lock down the car when an invalid attempt is made, happened to me when I hooked up the bypass wrong, it locks out the fuel as well if I recall correctly.

That may be why the guage reads wrong? (That did not happen, but the car refused to start for 10 or so mins). If the guage worked before, it is the R/S that caused the issue most likely, so start all over and hook up the R/S w/ out bypass and try to R/S with a key in igntion (on, run,etcc..), then do the bypass to see if it is the unit or bypass creating the headache.
