I want to install a Designtech Remote Starter in a 93 Corolla and I have a few Questions.  I already have an alarm and I want the two units to work completely seperatly.  IS this possible?  I also don't wann use the Tach wire cuz its a pain in da neck to get.  Would this cause a problem?  Any tips?  Thanx in advance. I appreciate it.

Make sure that your alarm has an IMPACT DISABLE wire so that the RS unit doesn't set off the current alarmsystem. The RS unit wil have a alarm disable wire that will pulse a (-) before starting. Also, you will need to attach the tach wire on the RS unit to the BLACK wire at the check connector. Without this connection the RS unit will not work properly ( well unless it got the tachless mode on it which I don't really like using )

If you can't find it at the connector, use one of the injector wires on top of the engine and pick any of the uncommon colored ones. There will be 4 sets of 2 wires at the motor and strip back only one of the uncommon colored ones and tach learn the system. If you have to manually do it, set the RS unit to 1 cylinder mode but if it's all automatic, then let the RS system learn it for you.
