I am installing a valet 561r remote starter in my 1998 ford expedition. Does anyone have a wiring guide to help in the install. Also the 555f emmobilizer says to connect to the activation output. Should I put that bleu/white wire on the status output of the starter? Thanks for your help

Thanks for your help, my next question is on 3 wires. The accessory , ignition and starter trigger wires. I already have the high current wires installed. Do these need to be wired up? I have all other wires accounted for I believe.

Thanks

If you mean the smaller guage wires That are pink, orange and purple, no you won't need them

Yeah they are a small gauge. Will I need to hook up the RED / white actuivation + and the blue/white activation -? I have read other posts that you don't need to.
Thanks

Ok I got the unit running, what is happening is it will run for  a minute or so and shut down. I checked the diagnostics and nothing is showing out of sorts. Could it be the security module 555f? I read that it has been discontinued. Should I have used the one with the key. 555U

Thanks

yes it started fine. When I went to put the ignition cover on i broke the little glass piece. But this was after the shutting off incident. Unless the program in the 561r isn't set correct.
