just installed code alarm ca-545 and ca-425 master module and am trying to get transmiters programed to unit,dirrections say to hold valet switch down for up to ten seconds and system will chirp 3 times when it goes to program mode,wont chirp and goes to valet mode,any ideas?

i have tryed grounding green neg. door input wire and still un able to enter programing mode.

1.  Make sure have have good ground on door trigger wire.

2. Make sure you have door trigger wire grounded BEFORE you turn on ignition.

3. Make sure you don't press valet switch until ignition is on.

From what it sounds like, you are are not installing the door trigger.  The system needs to see the door open first, before anything else.

got unit to go into programing mode,as it was i needed to hold valet button down longer(through valet mode )to get to programing mode,now everything functions correct,remote start and door entry ect. my only problem left is when i programed tach it learned it but now my check engine light is on,do i need to diode tack wire or ? thanks.

Try driving it for a few days.  That truck uses OBDII engine management.  If there's not a "real" problem, the light will turn off.  Unless you have a code reader then you can reset the code and see if it comes back.

check to make sure you have both Ignition wires hooked up
