i just installed a prostart ct3400tw into my 1999 dodge dakota and can't get it to program the remote if anyone can help it would be a big help what is going on is when i flash the hood pin the parking lights just flash once not stay on like they should?

hold down the hood pin for 3 second then relese it the parking light wil flash as soon as u relese the hood pin push it and rdlese it again then u turn the ignition on then off then u hold the lock botten on remot should de work.

Try this, when flashing the hood pin, Immediately and very very quickly just tap the hood pin right after you let it up in the first step. do this vey quickly and just a tap should put it into program mode and your park lights should stay on for you.

i did all that but it's not doing anything the manual just doesn't give me any real direction on trouble shooting the prob even tryed to reset the brain but that did nothing.

i was told that lots of guys have problems with getting this starter working are they just cheap or made so that you have to get them installed where you buy them?

the prostart its a good remote starter and its very easy to program it and u know i program the remot to the brain befor i connected to the car just do what they say in the manual ane u will get it work .
